Surfing 'The Wave' ...

Whoa! Google finally comes up with its biggest product(as much as I know) in the last 3 years," The Wave -- online tool for real time  communication and collaboration" is the tagline.

when I first received my invitation directly from Google to preview Wave along with 8 other invitations, for inviting my friends/family at 7:30,one fine morning,I was exited  that i will be using one of the innovations in past 3 years.As soon as I saw these invitations,the first thing i did was start Waving(what else can u do?)



Guess what?I was alone... all alone ."surfing" and searching..  :-( on the giant Google wave ..for my friends who are previewing the wave,but to my dismay I could find none .Mm ... Google's product and none of your friends using it?Isn't it strange?I felt it was.I then invited my friend Mukund Deshpande(The Geek 2),he was exited too,firstly he told me that I had received an invite for sandbox,which he was already using,but then I corrected him saying its the main Google wave preview.

And we started "Waving" together,What an experience it was,As said by the developers of Google Wave,we first used for a simple chat,The first words I surfed was " Isn't it sexy?",and the reply was same too.The best past of the chat was even u can see the key strokes i.e if he typed a 'a' u can see it, he types a 'b' next, u can see it,a back space and ten u can view it(not the entire word together after pressing "Enter" as in a chat)as the person communicating with you types,on the a wave.You can see through the thought process of the person.

Then many of friends joined the wave and we surfed,surfed tried the Wave,played many real time games like suduko, on the Wave.

Let me brief you with the way you can use the wave,
Step1: on the right side of the Window,you need to start a new wave,and then add participants to it.participants with whom you wish to talk.
Step2:Start Communicating with the person,by creating a wave inside a wave or by blips or by modifying what he is typing.You heard me right.You can also modify what he is typing.

Theres a lot of it,a lot literally a lot of  waves out there.(A lot of information can kill information).A lot of extensions,a lot of functionalities like even accessing Facebook from Google Wave.Check them out!

Everything is good.But I did not know why my excitement started  waning down,so was the case with my friends.Reasons might be you don't have many friends/family who you can collaborate with,and may be Google wave's look is too clustered for you to use,i do not know the reason but I just felt(and I am  feeling now )theres nothing i can do on a wave.
But i can tell you this,Google Wave's going to be a very successful product from Google.I don't have an explanation  to support my statement,but I just feel it ;).

Google needs to work a lot on the product to live up to its expectations and its tag line.The product looks as if it is half baked,and incomplete.
